About

Inclusive Commission

The WGKF Inclusive Commission supports the federation’s commitment to making karate more accessible, welcoming and meaningful for a wider range of participants. Karate should provide opportunities for people of different backgrounds, abilities, experiences and needs, and inclusion must be part of how a modern federation operates.

The commission focuses on awareness, participation, communication and practical support across WGKF activity. This may include guidance for events, support for members, inclusive pathways, para-karate considerations, coach awareness and improved access to federation opportunities.

Inclusive karate is not only about opening doors. It is about creating an environment where people feel respected, supported and able to take part with confidence. WGKF values fairness, dignity and opportunity, and recognises that clubs, coaches, officials and organisers all play an important role in making karate more inclusive.

This page helps visitors understand that WGKF is committed to responsible development, not only through rules and events, but through a culture that values people.
